Starting a new project using MediaMosa, tips?

Hello,
I'm starting a new MediaMosa project. Anyone has tips for someone who is new to MediaMosa?
Can this be hosted on a shared enviroment? Or should it always be on a dedicated server?
As I understanded, only video data is stored in the MediaMosa backend and acl information. In the frontend (EGA) all other data (like users, organic groups, ...) will be stored.
If you have some great tips, feel free to share them.
