Cron does not run

Hi,
Looking at the contents of /etc/cron.minute (the file used for the cron job) there are a number of web pages using the url http://myIP/internal/ ..
I tried opening all these pages manually but they don't work. In fact there's no 'internal' folder on the Mediamosa packet I downloaded (mediamosa-1.7.4.tgz). Am I missing something here?

In the Mediamosa you have REST calls. Two of them are:
internal/jobhandler/parse
internal/server/queueparse
The cron uses these REST calls.

You can check these REST calls manually, typing these addresses to your browser:
http://your-mediamosa/internal/jobhandler/parse
http://your-mediamosa/server/queueparse
Your response should be an XML.

I guess it is the "access denied" problem with this response:

The problem is probably that your box is having more IPs or is behind NAT and the cron job is accessing http://www.example.com from *not allowed* IP. Try:
admin->VPX->VPX Settings->IP addresses having access to internal REST calls:
And be very generous

An example for "IP addresses" is this value:
127.0.0.1|10.0.1.
But you can try to leave it empty, then there isn't any ip address check.

uesnet: What is the output of this REST call in your system?

I cleared the IP check field. I then typed this on the browser:
http://[*My IP*]/internal/jobhandler/parse
And Here is what I get:

Not Found

The requested URL /internal/jobhandler/parse was not found on this server.
Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) PHP/5.2.6-1+lenny8 with Suhosin-Patch Server at [*My IP*] Port 80

Also the apache error log keeps saying 'File does not exist'. It seems as though the REST call is not being processed/interpreted the way is supposed to, how can I verify/correct that?

Please check, the clean URL is enabled:
http://your-mediamosa/admin/settings/clean-urls

http://{MyIP]/admin/settings/clean-urls
Gives the same error as above.

That is because the example url to enable clean url's itself is 'clean' and you are still using url's with ?q=.
On your mediamosa platform go to Administer -> Site configuration -> Clean URLs to enable them.

That did it. Thanks all for your help, this is my first time working with REST, the problem was related to Apache and clean URLs. I was able to fix it using Drupal's help page.
