MediaMosa is an open source solution to build a full Featured, Webservice Oriented, Media Management and Distribution platform. MediaMosa is developed by Madcap commissioned by SURFnet and Kennisnet in an innovation and cooperation program.

The SURFnet/Kennisnet Innovation Program (www.surfnetkennisnet.nl) is a collaboration that started in 2004. Together, SURFnet and Kennisnet aim to facilitate ICT innovation for the education sector, ranging from primary education to higher education.

SURFnet is a subsidiary of the SURF organisation, in which Dutch universities, universities for applied sciences and research centres collaborate nationally and internationally on innovative ICT facilities. SURFnet enables groundbreaking education and research. It designs and operates the hybrid SURFnet6 network and provides innovative services in the field of security, authentication and authorisation, group communication and video.

The Kennisnet foundation is a public ict support organization in the Netherlands. Kennisnet encourages and supports the use of ICT in the daily curriculum of primary education, secondary education and vocational training. Our principle is: offer schools and educational institutions the right support to realize innovation in education with ICT. The mission of Kennisnet is ‘Learning to innovate with ict'.
