Description

The OMP search engine is based on the MediaMosa metadata model and asset/mediafile model.

It would be waste of a good search engine not to use this technology for MediaMosa. Integrating the OMP search engine should be easy because its based on the same CQL engine now in 2.x and MediaMosa 2.x is modeled towards OMP metadata engine.

The only problem is that we don't really know at this point where the slowdown of MediaMosa search is; if the ACL is slowing down the search, then the fulltext search won't make much of a difference. Although a simple spike of an research hour will make clear if an fulltext search will speed up the MySQL search.

MySQL FTS is probably easier to integrate than others as e.g. Apache Solr, but that one has some cool features that EUA probably can use.
